In my work to support Indigenous economic and social development, I strive to provide meaningful support through purposeful collaborations. Below, you will find examples of my work with partners to date.
Kihew Consulting and Research
As an Associate with the Kihew Consulting team, I provide intergovernmental and economic development policy advice to support this Indigenous organization as they work with private and public organizations across Canada.
National Association of Aboriginal Capital Corporations
I developed a series of policy and communication products for NACCA to support the advancement of their public policy objectives in the area of Indigenous economic development, including comprehensive government relations strategies.
Métis National Council
I facilitated a multi-day workshop with Métis governing members and developed a concise report setting out the Métis Nation's objectives for the advancement of Métis economic development.
Prairies Economic Development Canada
I developed fact-based policy papers and a placemat to support the organization's priorities in advancing economic Reconciliation in the Prairie provinces, with a focus on the barriers facing Indigenous entrepreneurs in accessing capital.
North 35 Capital Partners
I researched provincial and federal government programs in the area of Indigenous economic development and prepared a comprehensive strategic guide describing how to access this menu of programs. In addition, I researched a specific policy question related to lending institutions in Canada that cater to Indigenous business clients and drafted a summary report of my findings and policy recommendations.
Natural Resources Canada
I researched Canadian and international government practices with respect to wildland firefighter training, with a focus on the involvement of Indigenous communities in wildfire management. I drafted a report describing the challenges in the Canadian context and policy trends to support government in its policy objectives for wildfire management.
